Dileep gets a Vishu release!
For Dileep, Vishu is a very important festival season and always made it a point to have a release during this period!
Unfortunately his Siddique film Bodyguard slated as his big Vishu release got delayed, for no fault of his.
Now Dileep the marketing wizard has worked out a new strategy whereby he will have his coveted Vishkaineetam. He has preponed his Fazil film Moses.D' Samuel, being produced by the same producer as that of Bodyguard, Johnny Sagarika from July 4 to April 14!
This also has enabled Siddique to spend more time on Bodyguard which has now been postponed to July 4, Dileep's lucky day!
Meanwhile Moses D' Samuel which is already 50 percent shoot over, will restart in a few days time and the entire film will be over by March 23, making it possible for it to release on Vishu day!
Fazil's Moses D' Samuel is a romantic comedy with heavy sentiments. Fazil who has introduced the maximum number of heroines to Malayalam cinema is introducing Aswathy Ashok, a sensational new girl from Kozhikode, a degree student from St.Theresa's college in Ernakulam.
Fazil's movie 'Mouse and Cat'- Vishu release
Fazil's new movie 'Mouse and Cat' for set for Vishu release on April 14th.The director after a long gap of five years coming back to mollywood with this movie.
Dileep is in the lead role and the newcomer Aswathy Ashok appear as female lead.
Also in the cast are Baby Nivedhitha, Harishre Ashokan, Janardhanan, Manoj K Jayan, Krishnakumar, Sudheesh, and Jaffer Iidukky.
The script is by Fazil himself and is produced by Johny Sagarika.The last movie directed by Fazil was 'Vismayathumbathu' and was a box office disaster.
But he made few of the all time hits like 'Aniyathi Pravu' and 'Manichitrathazhu'.
Suresh Gopi's 'IG' all set for Vishu 2009 release
Unnikrishanan recently directed the Big hit movie 'Madambi'.
Suresh Gopi does the roleof a top ranked police officer named IG Durga Prasad.
Other movies lined up for Vishu release are Mohanlal's 'Sagar Alias Jackey' and 'To Harihar Nagar' sequel of mega hit movie 'In Harihar nagar'.
No Vishu 2009 release for Mammootty!
For the first time, Megastar Mammootty will not have any releases for Vishu 2009! Actually four Mammootty films are in various stages of production, but none will make it to the theatres for this Vishu.
The Mammootty – Arjun- Sneha bi-lingual Vandemataram long time in production was to release on April 10. The climax of the film was completed at Red Hills in Chennai. But producer Henry is dragging his feet and delaying the release, as some areas are yet to be sold.
Hariharan- M.T. Vasudevan Nair- Mammootty historical epic Pazhassiraja, two years in the making, was another film which was due for April 14. Says Hariharan: “The film is delayed as we have just started the dubbing and it will take time as we are doing it in five languages.”
Mammootty’s big summer release Pattanathil Bhootham, where he appears in dual role, is scheduled as of now to release only on May 1. But the buzz is that the film may be postponed, as the graphic works and special effects will take time.
Meanwhile, Mammootty’s arty Shaji.N. Karun’s Kutty Sranku is ready for release, but the internationally reputed director is trying to show it first at 2009 Cannes film festival. Anyway the film’s commercial release in Kerala will take place only after it has premiered at various Film Festivals abroad.
Bodyguard: Vishu Release postponed
Bodygurad release will be in May.Hit director Siddique is directing the movie.Apart from Dileep and Nayantara Tamil actor Thyagarajan is doing an important role in the movie.
Nayantara is doing the role of Thyagarajan's daughter.Other casts in the movie are Mithra,Cochin Haneefa, Undapakru, Balachandran Chullikad, Janardhanan, Zeenat, Appahaja, Nandu, Seema G. Nair, Harisree Asokan.Lyrics are by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri.
